Patrick Lencioni has influenced me more than I realized, probably via your coaching. Which I'm not mad about at all. "Driving Alignment" is what keeps popping into my head.

I think what you're describing above is a push for more organic alignment without an forcing function. Though I've rarely seen alignments work without a forcing function. Let's call that strategic alignments ( strategic alignment: using a change in the business ecosystem to create alignment - reorg, cost reduction, SDLC - whatever it might be).

Is there a situation where organic alignment can work without resorting to a strategic alignment (aka - leveraging a forcing function)?
