I almost dropped a note about that book - as well as the Artist's Way by Julia Cameron (origin of "Morning Papers") - the just start message is pretty common among authors.
Bird by Bird is what I recommend for anyone starting a creative writing process. But it is good advice across the board for any kind of process. Might need to re-read that book myself.
